Sustainability & Sustainable Living

Sustainability is a broad concept that typically has four pillars: Economic, Environmental, Human and Social (EEHS).

Sustainable living is not a definition but a concept about living with the Earth's resources in mind. It is often interchanged with “Zero Waste” or "Net Zero" which are not accurate representations. Instead, sustainable living relates to using  resources responsibly so that future generations have the chance to live a healthy and fruitful life. Humans have the responsibility for the perfection and maintenance of the world and that is the essence of sustainable living.

Sustainable living also means both individuals and businesses not over-using these resources for selfish goals such as economic gains and take into consideration the well being of humans within a society. In addition, it is about providing a sustainable livelihood for generations to come; hence fulfilling the four pillars - Economic, Environmental, Human and Social.
